expression (visually or verbally) that serves as a tool for recognition

Shadow - An image that shows
the figure or general form of something which is the result of
light being cast upon something of substance. Example: A sample
or part of some thing used as a model or pattern of the whole.
An illustration person or thing displayed for the purpose of being
copied or avoided. Co12:17, Hebrews 8:5, 10: 1
Similitude - A person or
thing that resembles something else.. A shape, form, model, or
likeness that is patterned after an original. Deuteronomy 4:12,

Type - Something having qualities
and characteristics like unto a specific person; a figure that
foreshadows something or someone that is yet to come. Romans 5:14,

Angel of the Lord - A theophany,
a manifestation in the physical realm of the pre-incarnate Christ.
The appearing and revealing of God to man. Genesis 18, Exodus
3, Judges 6 and 13.
Pattern - The original from
which a copy is made. Exodus 25:9, I Chronicles 28:11, 12, 19,
I Timothy 1:16, Hebrews 8:5
Dark Saying - A truth which
is hidden with the intent of being searched out. A riddle in which
the facts must be untangled and arranged to be understood. Numbers

Sign - A symbol used to point
to something of significance. Exodus 3: 12, Isaiah 7: 11, 14;

Signifying of the Holy Spirit
