Those of the Northern Kingdom of Ephraim wanted
to be like the Gentiles, and so the Father scattered them, like
seed, among the nations (Hosea 8:8; Amos 9:9). There, they would
remain until they had their fill of being "Gentiles." Until an
appointed time...
We live in that appointed time. It is time for those
of Ephraim to "be instructed," and "to repent of the [pagan] deeds
of their youth" (Jeremiah 31:18-19). It is time for those of Ephraim
to cease to be as the Gentiles, and to again become "as mighty
men" (Zechariah 10:7). It is time for them to take the vow of
a "watchman," as given in Habakkuk 2:1. It is time to vow: "I
will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart;
and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me, and how
I may reply when I am corrected."
Those of Ephraim Israel presently are being corrected.
For, even as the "veil" is being lifted from the eyes of those
of Jewish Israel, that they might see the truth about Messiah,
so the veil is being lifted from the eyes of Ephraim Israel (Romans
11:25-26; Genesis 48:19; Isaiah 8:14)--and in the lifting of that
veil, the Ephraimites are beginning to see the truth about how
their forefathers changed Yahveh Elohim's feast days and Sabbath
celebration.
We from whom the veil has been lifted need to become
true watchmen of the Sabbath. We need to guard against the many
"Pharisaical" perversions that so distort the truth. For, this
"Phariseeism" can be legalistic about "what others are not doing,"
as well as about "what others are doing." "Anti-Sabbath Phariseeism"
is just as legalistic, and just as dangerous as its counterpart.
In this latter day, as our Father corrects our wrong
understandings about His Sabbath, let our reply to His reproof
be a cry: "Father, pour forth Your mercy and grace, that we might
be empowered to become true watchmen; that we might begin to truly
represent to all, Your Divine plan of Sabbath celebration and
restoration."
