We started “Tabernacles of Praise” with the heart to worship
the God of Israel and to see the restoration of all things. We
are a ministry that is returning back to our Hebraic style of
worship (Ps. 150) as well as the Hebraic understanding
of His Word to His people. Our fellowship consists of the freedom
to worship the Father in many fashions from the use of diverse
instruments to include; the waving of banners, flags, and dancing
in a fashion that is pleasing to God. Worship from the heart can
be expressed in many ways and we at “Tabernacles of Praise” would
like to see this restored to the body of Messiah. (Amos 9:11
& Acts 15:16)
We teach mainly Hebrew folk dance and some interpretative dance
(combination of ballet and bodily expression to the words of a
song).
We incorporate the arts as a way to teach the Word of God. In
this visual world that we live in we have found it to be very
successful in bringing the Word of God to life. The arts are such
an expression of what is within a person’s heart. We have been
lead to use this way of worship to bring a restoration of “God’s
Appointed Feasts” back to the understanding of the believers.
Our deepest concern in the restoration of the art forms used
for teaching, evangelism, worship etc… is that it is restored
with pure hearts and right motives. We want to be careful in our
endeavor to restore. We don’t want to mix the Holy with the profane
(Lev. 22:15), worship verses performance.
The Word tells us to present your bodies a living sacrifice,
holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Before
we try to build the crumbled walls of worship we must get the
foundation of our hearts in place. So our worship will be a sweet
smelling savor (Eze. 20:41-42).
