Forgiveness - Why do we need to forgive?
There's power in forgiveness; consider the story of Joseph, which his brothers sold him into slavery. Joseph had every right to be bitter instead he chose to forgive. Joseph was so full of love and forgiveness that he actually begged his guilt-laden brothers to forgive themselves. He pleaded, "Do not be grieved or angry with yourselves for G-d sent me before you to preserve life… and to keep you alive by a great deliverance."

The scripture is clear that at the end of the age "many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people" (Matt. 24:10-11). This scripture is speaking to those of the faith not the world.

The redemptive power of G-d is released when people forgive each other. Individuals, families, congregations and even the very atmosphere of a city can change when pardon is released. When such a display of grace is poured out principalities and powers are neutralized often without so much as speaking a word against them.

Perhaps nothing so typifies the transforming, cleansing power of G-d as that which is experienced when a soul receives forgiveness. It is the power of new life, new hope and new joy. It is the river of life flowing again into the cold, hardened valleys of a once-embittered heart. Whenever pardon is given, there is a definite and occasionally dramatic release of life against the powers of death in the heavenly places. Observe the release of life when Yeshua, on the stake prayed, "Father, forgive them". At that very moment every demonic principality and power, which had infiltrated man's relationship with G-d was "disarmed" (Col. 2:15). By His act of forgiveness He immediately disarmed "the rulers and authorities" (Col. 2:14,15). Likewise when we forgive there is a canceling of debts and a disarming of the enemy.

As Torah teaches and instructs us consider the reunion of Jacob and Esau. Esau is known in the scriptures as a hardened man, one who sold his birthright for a single meal. Yet as Jacob bowed seven times to the ground in repentance, flooded the embittered Esau. Scripture tells us there was such a release of grace into his soul that he "ran to meet (Jacob) and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept" (Gen. 331-4). Esau's heart melted, and he chose to forgive the repentant Jacob. So moved was he that he ran and embraced Jacob, kissed him and then wept on his neck. When we truly desire to walk in repentance and reconciliation, even a man as hardened as Esau can be touched by G-d!

Let us follow in the example of Jacob to humble ourselves and receive forgiveness, which brings deliverance that allows for G-d's grace and mercy to be poured out.

What is Midrash? Investigate!
And Why should we Midrash the Scriptures?

The dynamic that learning together brings is one of the missing vital ingredients in most churches that follow a Greco-Roman rather than the scriptural Hebraic model. Church's that reject her Hebrew or Jewish roots and choose for a root system in Greek philosophical thought lost all of the sources of spiritual nourishment that these roots were intended by G-d to provide. One of the sources of nourishment is this Hebraic model of learning together which we call the "Beit Midrash" style of bible study, "Beit Midrash" the house of learning or study, "Midrash" literally means "investigation".

At our Torah studies we Midrash and inter-act with each other about G-d's Word this is the Hebraic model. It is about opening your heart to the work of the Ruach (Spirit) so that you can learn, grow, and change. The dynamic of sharing the insights and truths you have learned, and receiving the same from others, will be a rich source for your spiritual growth.

Many people run from church to church or home meeting to home meeting for relief never getting deliverance. They are looking and searching for the right place to fellowship and all along never fulfilled because the "system" not the building is void of Hebraic understanding.

The Bible is clear that they went from Sabbath to Sabbath into the synagogues to study "Midrash" the Word of G-d. (Acts 13:14-15, 13:42).

There's nothing wrong with the building it's the system. Many people just don't want to grow spiritually, they are happy to be spectators. They reject walking in a submitted life style or like Yeshua said a life style of walking in love. Our society has been so void of family values with strong g-dly parents that trained their children to submit to authority, that the parents now don't even understand proper authority to teach their children and the result is confusion & lawlessness.

The Hebraic model is that the family studies together and then corporately on Shabbat we "Midrash". The bible says in the multitude of counselors there is wisdom. In order to do this effectively there has to be proper authority in the home and then we will be able to submit one to another corporately. We have to learn how to learn from each other. Learning from one another is an aspect of the Hebraic model of the Community (church) that has been lost to us. But G-d is in the restoration business. Let's be students of the Word and teachable like the Bereans examining the scriptures daily. (Acts 17:11). Iron sharpening Iron! (Proverbs 27:17).

What does the Scripture say about WOMEN IN MINISTRY?
JOEL 2:28-29
And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days. (NIV)

ACTS 2:18
And indeed upon My male servants and upon My female servants in those days I will pour out from My Spirit, and they will prophesy. (The Power New Testament)

I TIMOTHY 2:11-12
A woman must learn by use and practice in a quiet manner in all subjection: and I do not permit a wife to teach nor to exercise dominion over a husband, but to be in a quiet manner. (T.P.N.T.) (Timothy received this letter in Ephesus while he was leading the congregations there. Ephesus was the home of the fertility goddess Artemis, where women dominated and temple prostitution was approved).

I CORINTHIANS 14:33-35
For G-d is not A G-d of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints the wives must be silent in the congregations: for it is not permitted for them to speak, but they must be subject. And if some want to learn, they must ask their own husbands at home: for it is shameful for a wife to speak in a congregation. (The Power New Testament) (Verses 34& 35 have variants. Paul wrote about women being quiet or not teaching only to Corinth and Ephesus, (lTim2:11) homes of the fertility goddesses Diana and Artemis, where women dominated and temple prostitution was approved).

WOMEN WITH TITLES

ROMANS 16:1-2
And I am introducing our sister Phoebe to you, since she is also a minister of the congregation in Cenchrea, so that you would welcome her in the Lord worthily of the saints, and you would stand by her in whatever matter she would need of you: for she has also become a patroness (Literally, a woman set over others) of many, even of me. (T.P.N.T.) The word minister is also servant, caretaker, deacon, attendant, see Luke 4:20. In the Hebrew the word is sham-mash (servant).

ACTS 21:8-9
and the next day after we left we went into Caesarea and entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven deacons. We were staying with him and in this household there were four prophesying virgin daughters. (T.P.N.T.)

MALE AND FEMALE ARE ONE IN HIS EYES

Even though G-d gave males and females different roles in life, spiritually they were given the same spirit, with gifts and callings that are irrevocable. G-d does have a divine order for the family and the roles each other plays in fulfilling that plan. But that would not make the spirit any different in a persons life because of what sex you are. Remember the Father is no respector of persons in His eyes we are all sons of G-d!

GENESIS 2:24
For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. (NIV)

MATTHEW 19:4-6
“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what G-d has joined together, let man not separate. (NIV)

GALATIANS 3:26-29
For you are all sons of G-d through faith in Messiah Yeshua: for as many of you as were baptized in Messiah, you have been clothed with Messiah. For there is neither Jewish nor Greek, neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female. For you are all one in Messiah Yeshua. And if you are of Messiah, then you are the seed of Abraham, heirs according to the promise. (T.P.N.T.)
